Formed in 1996 by students of Analy High School, Nocturnal's influences ranged from Smashing Pumpkins to the Beatles to Berlioz. Their music combined heavily-distorted guitar riffs with melodic, sometimes psychedelic aesthetics. They released several demos as well as an EP called Venus. The band broke up in 2000.
